Jenny Green, Amish Girl.

4/3/2022

The 'Dirty Amish Girl' episodes follow Jenny Green as she leaves an idyllic and peaceful countryside life and begins her adventure and exploration of the outside world and the temptations and implied freedoms she believes will give her a better life as opposed to the close knit, religious Amish culture she wants to escape when she enters her Rumspringa.

One last look at winter

Forget winter for a moment.

2/4/2022

Winter has its charm, but a little bit can sometimes go a long way, so why not ignore it for a moment and think about the reward of warmer weather and how nature appreciates the change with its own "Thank You."

Iced.

1/27/2022

Winter has a way of creating things other than frost-bite and blizzards-
Sometimes it retreats with a freezing breath and leaves remnants of its icy grip on the landscape.

"toddities."

12/30/2021

When Traveling I will stop driving or turn around and go see anything that captures my attention. As the saying goes: 'If it's odd, it's for Todd'. (aka: a "Toddity" as someone once said.) I have always been attracted to unusual things, and if it happens to be a roadside attraction of some type I have to go see it, and it doesn't have to be a yellow dinosaur, or a pink elephant.

Winter's Cold light

12/28/2021

Winter has cast its cold light onto the lighthouses, but they remain vigilant. Cold winds come running in from Lake Huron like invisible horses, but you don't realize you've been hit until after they pass through you. Lake Michigan winter winds are blunt and when they hit you, the punch is immediate, and you know you've been hit. I tell my friends that Lake Michigan is a moody bitch. It forces you to love her. Lake Huron lulls you in and captures you. Its magical personality captures you before you realize it. (You can decide if you prefer the good witch or the bad witch.)

An Enchanting Bathroom? Bear Tracks, Magical Sunsets...

12/18/2021

I walked into a second-floor bathroom in a Lighthouse and was taken by surprise by its charm, it was more like enchantment...from a bathroom? Odd, but true. I eventually made my way outside and headed toward the beach and discovered some fairly recent Bear tracks and followed them to the edge of the remnants of a shipwreck (the Joseph S Fay.) The beach and the lighthouse in this area along the Lake Huron shoreline are interconnected to an abundance of maritime history as well as meandering bears.

Nona & The Nuns. A buried boat, and...Shayla!

11/28/2021

You never know what you'll discover along a beach. Nona was my faithful four-legged beach explorer. One time we discovered a turtle that was on its back and had lost most of its color. It could barely move, so i picked her up, and set her close to the waters edge and (Yes, I named the turtle) Shayla began to regain her beautiful subtle turquoise  coloring. She eventually wandered into the surf and hopefully made it back home. A few days later we encountered Nuns on the beach. I asked to take their picture and they obliged. They told me they were from Miami and that this was the most beautiful beach they've ever visited.  (There's a short video of Nona exploring the beach-click the middle picture on top.)

    Todd's Collection

A collection of stories and screenplays. It's also a collection of things that are created/experienced outside the realm of writing.

    The Dormant Dunes
The dormant dunes. This is in an area north of Oval Beach. Most people do not go to this area because the trails disappear, and there are a lot of bogs. You can easily be knee deep in muck if you don't know where to walk.
